Staff Spotlight: Ms. Alexander, 2nd Grade Teacher

Can you guess who made the ultimate Laurel Ridge comeback? This returning teacher not only came back to the classroom, but also brought her own children back as Laurel Ridge students. 1. How long have you been part of the Laurel Ridge team?

I was a teacher at Laurel Ridge from 2018-2020. I had two babies during COVID and stayed home with them for a while. I then came back as a part time tutor in 2024. Now I'm here full time with my two little ones - Charles and Poppy.

2. What is your favorite part of the school day?

Morning Meeting and seeing Charles and Poppy in the hallways during the school day.

3. What is your favorite thing about Laurel Ridge?

The students and community meetings.

Coffee

5. What's your favorite book, movie, or TV show?

Abbott Elementary

6. What is your favorite vacation destination?

The Beach!

7. What's a fun fact that most people don't know about you?

I got my Bachelor's degree in Art History and then went back to get my Master's degree in Education.

8. Any message you'd like to share with students and families?

I'm so happy to be back as a full-time teacher, meeting new faces and families. You wouldn't believe how much I missed this place while I was away!
